TURTLE POWER!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Halloween (eve) this year was a blast. B and I dressed up with our wonderful friends Cory and Lyndsey as the teenage mutant ninja turtles. We all went up to a friend's house for a costume party in Alpine where we eat dinner and played a ton of fun games, and of course eat tons of candy and treats. (probably too many)

For this game we had to eat a donut from a string with no hands, and whoever finished first won.

Donatello and Michael Angelo

Words can't describe how much I love these two^. haha

Fact: Branson CANNOT draw. haha
Probably the funniest moment all night. The picture pretty much explains why.

:)
Don't mess with Michael Angelo and his numchucks

After the party we had a little photoshoot at the Cosgraves

and that's all folks....
HAPPY HALLOWEENY!

Emerald City

A couple weekends ago, I made a quick trip down to Seattle where I met up with my mom, sister, aunt and uncle. My mom and aunt grew up in the heart of Seattle and they had a reunion with their sorority sisters from college. Jenee and I wanted to tag along and see the city since we hadn't been their since we were youngins. We had a great time and I wish it could have lasted longer!

Fell in love with this little beauty^
We went to the Washington vs. Oregon game. It went into double overtime so it ended up being a great game! I LOVE UW's campus!

I really love traveling and getting away for a weekend. B and I have a couple of busy weeks ahead of us with lots of traveling, and we're really looking forward to it.

A new favorite of mine...

Before my classes in SLC today, I met up with my dear friend Kelsy for lunch. She told me about this new place, Blue Lemon. Oh man, it was GOOD! I got the artichoke and tomato panini with chicken and the tomato basil soup. It was really, really good. It's just right across the street from the temple on South Temple. GO!
Kels--thanks again for a wonderful lunch date. I just love you.

Yummy in my Tummy

Considering Halloween is just around the corner, I found it appropriate to finally make use of the can of pumpkin in my pantry. SO, I googled for a yummy pumpkin bread recipe and I'm pretty pleased as to how it turned out. Let's just say it's half way gone already...

(I replaced some ingredients for healthier one's, but i'll post both just in case)

Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour (I used whole wheat flour)
1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup oil (I used olive oil)
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Eye-duh-hoe

Last weekend Branson and I went up to Idaho for the weekend to visit his family. It was my mother-in-law's birthday on Friday, so we decided last minute to head on up. SO glad we did. We have so much fun up there. We went to a movie Friday night and saw Wall Street. It was a really good movie, even though I had to ask Branson what was going on every five seconds. (poor guy, he can never enjoy a movie without me pestering him) Shia LeBeouf is such a great actor! Anyways, Saturday we had a relaxing day. We played some football, eat good food, went shooting, watched a movie, and then watched home videos (my FAVORITE). On Sunday, Derek, Branson's younger brother, got the Priesthood so we got to be there for that. He puts his papers in soon so we are all really excited to see where he will serve! After church we had dinner and then had to hit the road back to Utah. I think what I love most about visiting is that we have so much fun just taking it easy around the house. I love going out and doing fun, adventurous things, but I have come to realize I am also a home-body. I love being with family and they all make me laugh so much. I am so blessed to have such great in-laws. Anyways, I didn't take very many pictures but here's a few from the weekend.

Over conference weekend, Branson's brothers Derek and Preston came into town. It was a short trip but such a memorable one. The boys all went up to Priesthood session in Salt Lake on Saturday night, so I dropped them off and went shoppingggg. It was the perfect opportunity. :)After that we went to one of our favorite mexican food restaurants called La Puente. SO good. Then we rented a movie and just hung out and goofed around. On Sunday we just took is easy and watched conference, and then went to a park and played a little football. It was a great weekend. I feel like those boys are my real brothers that I never had. I love that I love my in-laws. haha

Favorite

One of the things I love about Utah is the seasons, especially FALL! The leaves are changing and it is so beautiful. The other night, Branson had a couple free hours from homework, so we decided to drive up the Provo canyon. I took my camera with, and took a bunch of pictures. It was such a peaceful drive.
