NYC day three.

This was one of my favorite days in the city.  We got to see SO much and had such a good time.  Just a heads up there are a. lot. of pictures.

It was a must to take a picture in front of the Connecticut sign.  I very much agree.

As soon as we got to the city we got on a ferry that took us all around Manhattan.

I definitely wouldn't mind living in one of these buildings looking over the water. Only a couple mill, no biggie.

My hair is in my face in every picture. Oh well.

Pure joy.

Two of my favorites.  The statue of Liberty and the NY temple.

They actually had to build a building inside another building so that they could make the walls of the temple soundproof.  Otherwise I doubt it would be very peaceful with all the horns honking and chaos outside.  Pretty cool that it sits in the middle of Manhattan.

These guys were great.  We were walking through central park and there were a bunch of performers.  They ended up calling lynds and I up to help out with a little stunt...

After seeing "Something Borrowed" I HAD to eat here.  They made it look so delicious and it did not disappoint.

Somehow we missed the rain on the night tour.  Everywhere we drove was soaked, yet we didn't get an ounce of rain on us.  We lucked out.

NYC day two.

Our first day going in the city was quite eventful.  We decided to take the train in from New Canaan in the morning.  Turns out there was a car parked on the tracks in between the crossing gates and the train couldn't stop in time and it was hit.  The man driving the car was 92 years old and it was SO sad to watch.  We were sitting close to where the train stopped so we could see everything.  Luckily he was alert and seemed just fine....

His poor car was donezo.  I'm not sure about any recent updates but we read up on it a few days later and he had broken four ribs and hurt his shoulder.  Poor guy. Broke my heart.

Once we finally got to the city, we hopped on a bus tour that took us all around Manhattan and Brooklyn. We spent the day seeing everything we possibly could.

Took the train into Grand Central Station.

Time square during the day.  MUCH cooler at night.  It's like the city transforms. I L.O.V.E.D it!

Samuel Jackson's wax figure at Madame Tussauds.  Next time I think i'll actually pay to go in. It would be pretty cool to see!

Day 2 of our trip was amazing and each day got better and better!

NYC day one.

We were fortunate enough to go on an amazing trip to New York and Connecticut with some of our greatest friends...

For the next week or so I will be posting about our trip. Considering we took over 1500 pictures, i'm making a post for each day of the vaca.

Lyndsey and Cory invited us to stay with them at her families house in New Canaan, Connecticut.  They live about an hour outside of the big city so we spent a ton of time visiting NYC as well as CT.  We fell in love.

Our first day of the trip was pretty mellow.  We had gotten in pretty late and were trying to adjust to the two hour time change. We spent the day in beautiful New Canaan.  We hung out at Lyndsey's gorgeous house and went downtown for lunch.  It is such a cute and quaint little town.

We eat at this cute little place for lunch one of the days. I had a salad, sandwich, and cookies and they were all delicious. 

Oh how we love Dougy.  We were introduced to him and his wife Paige on this trip (who we love just as much). It wouldn't have been the same without them and they are so awesome!

We stopped and eat lunch at this cute place.  Great sandwiches!

perfect.

today was such a perfect day. after church, B and I went up to the provo temple to relax and do a little journal writing, which was long overdue.  i snapped a couple pictures and thought how lucky we are that we have this temple so close to us.  

i love this one of my man. so deep in thought. 

i'm lucky to have him.

13.1

well, i am officially back in p-town. it feels good to be back in our own place again.  branson is now working in denver for a couple more weeks and then we will be done for the summer. pretttttty happy about that.

i have also decided to run THIS half marathon in moab with a couple of friends.  it's in november so we have from now until then to train. 13.1 miles!? call me crazy.  i always used to say that i would never run long distance. but hey, never say never right?

i've never been to moab either, and it sure looks beautiful.
